Marketing for small business
With the recession, business has become more competitive recently. Small business is the fastest growing segment of all business worldwide. The competitors are no longer just down the street or even only in the next town; now we are able to do business not only in own country, but worldwide. To ensure success we must visible; must stand out from the crowd.
Many businesses struggle with the promotional side of their businesses. They are uncomfortable with selling and marketing themselves and their product or service , not sure of how the sales process works and are afraid of being seen as “pushy”. They don’t want to get into a costly marketing campaign, especially one that might not work, and aren’t sure how to put together and implement a low cost marketing plan that will work for their particular type of business and won’t take up too much of their time.
Most small business owners and independent professionals provide first class products or services and are extremely efficient at the day-to-day running of their businesses. But, when it comes to finding new customers, to selling themselves and their product or service to potential clients, many feel very uncomfortable and out of their depth.
